Canada air quality and smoke forecast

Across Canada's monitored network of 241 stations, air quality is generally good, with only 1 station in the Unhealthy range and 11 in the Moderate range. The Houston Firehall in British Columbia is currently experiencing Unhealthy levels at 62 µg/m³, though this is expected to ease to 4 µg/m³ over the next 48 hours. Several other stations in British Columbia, including Castlegar Zinio Park, Fort St John Learning Centre, Terrace Skeena Middle School, and Grand Forks City Hall, are reporting Moderate levels, all with forecasts to ease or remain steady. Environment Canada reports no communities at high AQHI risk. In the North, smoke models estimate that Radisson in northern Quebec is currently at 13 µg/m³, with a forecast to reach 28 µg/m³ in the Moderate range over the next 48 hours. Looking ahead, the highest smoke levels are expected in Surrey East, Langley, Abbotsford Airport, Abbotsford, Pitt Meadows, and New Westminster, all in British Columbia, with forecasts reaching up to 130 µg/m³.
